Firstly, let’s look at what everybody needs to get a mortgage, and then see what you need in addition based on your personal circumstances

Everybody needs: 

  1. A copy of your passport
  2. A copy of your driving license
  3. A copy of a utility bill or bank statement within the last 3 months
  4. Three months’ worth of bank statements showing your income/ or how you are credited
  5. Evidence of how you are going to pay a deposit via a bank statement and an explanation of where the funds have come from
  6. Details of any debts and assets
  7. Credit report
  1. The last 3 months’ worth of payslips, or 13 weekly payslips
  2. Your latest P60 any annual bonus or commission intended to be used as a deposit
  3. All payslips where bonuses have been used over a 2-year period
  1. The last 2 years of personal tax calculations from HM RC or your Accountant
  2. The last 2 years of corresponding tax overviews from the HM RC
  3. The last 2 years of filed company accounts
  4. The last 3 months’ worth of business bank statements
  1. A copy of your current contract confirming your daily rate
  2. Copies of all contracts which cover the last 2 years
  3. A copy of your linked in profile or up-to-date CV to evidence your experience
  1. The last 2 years of personal tax calculations from HMRC on your Accountant
  2. The last 2 years of corresponding tax year overviews from HMRC
  3. The last 2 years filed property income accounts
  4. The latest tenancy agreement(s)
  5. The latest mortgage statement(s)
  1. A letter from the HM RC to confirm your state pension amount
  2. A pension statement(s) and your latest P60to evidence private pension
